Cris Cortez
Co-Founder, KC Ventures Group“bringing visions into reality.”
For me, that means helping turn ideas into actionable work that is clear, useful, and well-executed. I also enjoy experimenting with projects and advancing in my goals.
My background spans academia, business operations, e-commerce, SaaS, cybersecurity, startups, and venture-building. Earned my B.S. in Business Management and MBA from San Jose State University (SJSU), and I have built experience across project coordination, stakeholder support, digital systems, and strategy execution.
Outside of work, I value continuous learning, health, creativity, and time to reflect. I enjoy music, audiobooks, travel, weight training, and projects that push me to keep improving.
What I bring
Practical execution

Steady problem solving
I work best where there are moving pieces, evolving priorities, and a need for clear, useful execution.

Hands-On Venture Support
Worked across multiple ventures to help strengthen structure, follow-through, and the day-to-day execution needed to keep projects moving.
Books That Shaped My Thinking
I value learning that can be applied in real life. These are a few books that have influenced how I think about accountability, communication, discipline, growth, and execution.

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People
Reinforced the value of responsibility, discipline, and acting with intention.

12 Rules for Life
Shaped how I think about structure, standards, and personal responsibility.

Strengthened my understanding of communication, relationships, and the importance of treating people well.

The Success Equation
Helped me think more clearly about the role of effort, skill, luck, and consistency over time.
Personal development helps keep me grounded, and I try to contribute in ways that are thoughtful, dependable, and bring real value.
